First decent self prep

This is my first self prepped find that has come out looking good. I keep practising but i'm quite proud of this ammonite  :)

 

 

During prep

After.

 

 

It just needs coating and it's finished. The otherside split perfectly by the way so no prep was needed.

I've not put it on yet, I use one called Winsor and Newton Oil Colour Artists Varnish. Makes the colours show and not very streaky.
