Hello there,

Since the start of summer i had te opportunity to pay a few visit to 2 ordovician trilo sites.

All in all, the hunts had been snarge good in both places. The faunas are about the same.

I had a few days off work lately so i could spend some time cleaning them.

To start with a few Colpocoryphe rouaulti from both sites :

Very nice trilos.

Cute pic with the cat paws in the pic. Is your cat laid back enough to actually let you pose her/him for the pic?

next ones : Ectillaenus giganteus

Rather frequent in one of the site more elusive in the other.

Those three were picked on the same day. Third one being quite distorted.

What? The first two are not distorted?:headscratch:

They all look pretty warped to My eyes.:D (But really neat trilobites nonetheless!)

Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy!

Very nice.

I really like the way these bugs are distorted, just shows the wonder of geology with a neat preservation.
