Does anybody know of fossil collecting areas in San Diego that are on BLM land or Private land (with owners who will probably grant you permission to collect on their property?)

There's a lot of sea cliffs at Point Loma in San Diego that are well known for fossil collecting. This post might help it includes directions and notes on the fossils and geological makeup of the area. https://californiafossils.org/2016/07/29/point-loma/

I know that Aletopelta was found in Point Loma in marine deposits, the youngest ankylosaur taxon found in marine deposits, but you can find cetacean, pinniped, and sirenian fossils in the San Diego Formation, and terrestrial mammal fossils in the Mission Valley and Friars Formations.
