ynot
When asking for an id it helps Us if You can provide some information like size and a location of the find. This piece looks like a very weathered agate nodule, not a fossil. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." Rockwood
Sorry but I don't see a fossil either.
InfoHungryMom
Question Rockwood and ynot - I see lots of pieces of lots of different things. At what point can you refer to it as “fossiliferous agate” or another mineral/stone? There appear to be pieces of shells, of plants, imprints... on one side it looks like petrified wood... InfoHungryMom
(The top picture especially is exactly what I have seen with the tag,”fossiliferous”. Is this a misnomer?)

Fossiliferous simply means the rock has a lot of fossils in it. (usually applied to a formation or member thereof.) Meny mineral structures can resemble fossils to the untrained eye. The pieces You are saying look like shells have the general shape, but are lacking detail that would lead to a shell id. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." There really isn't any substitute for hands on experience with material that is unquestionably (more exactly ) fossil. Museums and fossil clubs are great places to learn.
fifbrindacier
No fossil here for me either. "On ne voit bien que par le coeur, l'essentiel est invisible pour les yeux."
