Need help identifying a oddly shaped fossil

Hi Everyone,

I found this fossil in Bearreraig Bay, Skye, Scotland. The fossil is quite heavy for its size which im guesing is because of the stone that surrounds most of it.

The specimen is about 10 cm tall and the top is just over 2 cm wide.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It's a belemnite phragmocone  sitting in the conical cavity at the blunt end of the rostrum.

At that size, it's probably a small Megateuthis, well known in the Middle Jurassic there.

+1 on phragmocone inside a partial belemnite rostrum :)

Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy!

Q. Where do dinosaurs study?

A. At Khaan Academy!...

I agree, you can see the diffrent parts very clearly once you know what you are looking it. It almost looks like i had some work done on it to expose it better but this is exactly how it was found.
