Bguild
This little guy has been floating around. Is this a composite Hyphalosaurus? Part of the head looks to be, but the body looks decent in my opinion. What do you all think?
Fossildude19
The end of the tail and tip of the skull look a bit "restored" manufactured. Other than that, looks pretty real. snolly50
The disarticulation present is a plus for authenticity in my view. The "snout" looks a little different from the rest of the bone and needs close examination under a 10X loupe. Any paint or other mischief should be readily apparent. I note that the matrix that abuts that area is also darker, so the color difference I am seeing may be completely natural. Human beings, who are almost unique in having the ability to learn from the experience of others, also are remarkable for their apparent disinclination to do so. - Douglas Adams, Last Chance to See
Wolf89
I agree the skull looks composite
Pemphix
the very last part of the tail and skull might be restored / not real (as snolly said you are able to see the change in colour..). The rest may be original, but since there's no enlargeable fotos to see the bones much closer this must stay hypothetical until verification. Hint: vertebrate fossils of china (and some non-vertebrates as well) have export- / import ban.
