Allosaurus Tooth

Morning all!

Wanted to know if this looks like an Allosaurus tooth.

 

Seller says it’s from Dana Quarry in Wyoming.

 

Says it measures 5/8 at longest side.

Morrison Theropod teeth are all so similar that the only way to differentiate is to do a serration count per mm and to look at the shape of the serrations. I’d ask the seller to do a count on both sides for you and to take pictures and let us know if you get that info :D

I would say it's an theropod tooth but would not be able to id it to a species. What also makes it even more difficult to ID is that it is a partial tooth nevertheless that is not to say it isn't an Allosaurus tooth.
