I found this tooth in the late Cretaceous North Sulphur River of Ladonia, Texas. I’ve yet to be able to identify this. Seems to be Pleistocene perhaps? Any ideas?? Thank you in advance!

This is the key photo; need the chewing surface...

Because of red circles, I am thinking Equus, but not very positive.

Nice Find! I'm not an expert. But I would also guess equine.

I have found a lot of different mammal teeth at NSR. Some of them are in excellent shape. I have been meaning to start a post so we can have a class on mammal dentition. I could definitely use a little instruction from the experts!

I tried to find one of my finds to use as an example, but this modern tooth will do... Note the enamel ridges in your tooth and in this tooth.  I am thinking Horse is one of the few good candidates.

I was scanning some Florida fossils on the Internet and found this pronghorn antelope fossil tooth from one of our experts @PrehistoricFlorida . I hear you had antelope in Texas also. Might be a match for your tooth..
