Post your positive experiences trading with others and especially WHO THEY WERE and, if you feel like it, :hammer01: post your new mailbox catch.   :meg:We’ve got a good community here and I like to believe everybody on TFF is trustworthy, this list will serve as one more assurance that who you’re trading with is trustworthy and has traded in the past with good results. This should help those who have a little hesitancy towards trading and alleviate a little bit of anxiety.

As a reminder, DO NOT post negative experiences. Please report these to moderators.

Now let’s see some of those trades!:1-SlapHands_zpsbb015b76::fistbump:

Sometimes it may not be appropriate to identify member trades/sales especially if they were done in private.   Have the involved members agreed to be identified?  Not everyone wants others to know who they are trading/selling with,  I would not.   All about privacy issue.

I would suggest that before you post, ... just ask the person/s you traded with if it is OK to post a positive experience with them.  :)

Obviously, please make sure to respect the trader's wishes if they decline, for whatever reason.

That makes it a non-issue.  ;)

I can't imagine too many folks would be upset about a positive review.  :headscratch:

I'm afraid if we allow members to post negative comments about other members we would be opening up a Pandora's box of problems.

@-Andy-

Nope, they didn't say if they were open to being identified, but they didn't seem secretive about it either. I avoided members who've specifically told me to keep our trades a secret.

So far I haven't received any PMs telling me to take anything down.

It is wearisome for me to individually message every person I identified and wait for a reply I might not get, especially since I haven't spoken to some in years. Should I just remove the names of those people?

Yes In my opinion they should be removed unless you have a positive acknowledgement that they are okay with it.  IMO  private deals should remain private.

I looked through the list again. Everyone I mentioned, as far as I know, made public their intention to trade or made trades that aren't secretive. (As said, I omitted the ones I know are secretive)

I don't see any of them being upset that I mentioned their names, because imo not mentioning them as being trustworthy trade partners is doing them the disservice instead.

I will go on record to state my experiences trading with Mr. John Brewer have been nothing but good times and great fossils.

The best thing about inner Forum trades with other members is not only the opportunity to obtain fossils that are not normally found at your fossil shows or online sales, but to receive items that usually the sender found and has personal sentimental value attached to them as well.

You might even get a small taste of their personality quirks to boot.

I’ve traded with many on the forum and it’s been positive with all. One person I've traded with many times and would like highlight is Doren @caldigger  It’s always been a pleasure to exchange with him.

I can second this I have done a few blind trades with Doren and received some really interesting and also generous amount fossils.  He definitely gave my mammal collection a boost and stated my collection of shark teeth off too.

I think this is a very good thread. I have traded with numerous forum members and all of my experiences have been positive. I do believe that I can honestly say that all of my interactions with members have been positive since I have joined. From trading with members, buying from members, meeting up for fossilhunts, or just chatting through PM.
