Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. I don't see any dinosaur material, but some shells/brachiopods/corals, perhaps. 3 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." ynot
It would help if You take pictures from all sides (straight on) with a plain background of just one rock at a time. When there are so many pieces it is hard to know what is being commented on. Also coins do not make a good scale, because the non US people do not know the size. The black rock on the pile does not look like any fossil I know of. It does look like a brecciated silicate mineral (quartz). 2 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Macrophyseter
I see plenty of fossils, but I unfortunately see no dinosaur. I would agree with ynot that the object you believe is a dinosaur head is likely to be a chunk of brecciated silicate minerals. But I do see lots of invertebrate fossils on the other rocks, especially shell and possibly coral imprints. 1 If you're a fossil nut from Palos Verdes, San Pedro, Redondo Beach, or Torrance, feel free to shoot me a PM! Rockwood
I have found features similar to the ones in the darker rock. I considered the possibility that they are poorly preserved loboliths, but found no clear indication.
Fossildude19
Not seeing a dinosaur skull, or any skull or bone, for that matter. Still just looks like shell material/imprints/casts to me. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." abyssunder
I see pattern indicating differential erosion, so I think it might be a speleogen ("boxwork"), or similar. Looking from a far distance, it does resamble a human face. 1 " We are not separate and independent entities, but like links in a chain, and we could not by any means be what we are without those who went before us and showed us the way.
