-Andy-
Nice to see that chunk of root. You don't see roots often enough in JRF tyrannosaurs 1 Looking forward to meeting my fellow Singaporean collectors! Do PM me if you are a Singaporean, or an overseas fossil-collector coming here for a holiday!

You don't see roots often enough in JRF tyrannosaurs Hey Andy, thanks for the kind words. I have been going back and forth on getting it prepped out. I'd love to fit this in that riker I am making but at the same time I love fossils in original matrix.
-Andy-
Is there any way to make the matrix thinner so it can still fit in the riker? I'd suggest using a small floating frame for it. That should work with the matrix as is. Greetings from the Lake of Constance. TyBoy
I think the beauty of this tooth is enhanced in the matrix. Rikers come 2" thick. Did you mean Liberty County.?

This is the approach I was thinking of taking. There’s a big chunk of matrix on the back so if I trim it down some it should be able to fit in the riker box. 10 hours ago, Ludwigia said: I'd suggest using a small floating frame for it. The matrix has some jagged edges however, have you had experience of the membrane tearing? 4 hours ago, TyBoy said: I think the beauty of this tooth is enhanced in the matrix. Rikers come 2" thick. Did you mean Liberty County.? Nice catch, yes I mean Liberty County. Found on the eastern part of the county. The riker I have is 2” thick so it would fit but the matrix blocks takes up so much unnecessary space. 3 hours ago, dinosaur man said: Amazing tooth! I've never put anything sharp in one, so have had no problems, but you could just file the matrix down a bit and round it off. Greetings from the Lake of Constance.
