What is is also amazing is that a peer reviewed paper was even written since the vast majority of the pictured, described and mentioned fossils are in private collections and not in public museums/collections. Maybe this is the beginning of an effort in peer reviewed literature to obtain knowledge from fossils that are in private collections. Quote from paper: “Unfortunately, the vast majority of specimens are in the hands of private collectors, and it can only be hoped that they will be made accessible to the general scientific community in the near future.” 1 My goal is to leave no stone or fossil unturned.
