indominus rex
Hello, recently I have been quite inactive on the forums, it’s just that I haven’t quite had time and I was having some family affairs. But I’d like to share some photos of some fossils I recently acquired that were found in China. First off I’d like to start off with a Pterosaur tooth from Liaoning which I got, it is 1 and a half of a cm in length, a really cool specimen and something I don’t see too often. 2 Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils.
indominus rex
I also got these pterosaur bone fragments I have to work on repairing, would be quite difficult but I’m up to the challenge. And I’m not sure if the little sharp piece is a tooth? 1 Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils.
indominus rex
Next I’d like to share a little Hyphalosaurus I got, I really like it and I’m hoping to frame it soon on my wall. 2 Life started in the ocean. indominus rex
And finally, the seller kindly gave me these pieces of slates with a lot of Mixosaurus bones in them, if anyone can give me good tips on how to prep them that would be great. 1 Life started in the ocean. indominus rex
The bones are a lot more visible in person, all these fossils are from china, I purchased them from a shop in Hong Kong. 1 Life started in the ocean. The Amateur Paleontologist
Hey I hope your family issues were solved.. Those look like some nice specimens - especially the tooth from Liaoning. The only concern I have is, were they obtained legally? I'm asking because export of fossil material out of China is heavily restricted.. -Christian 1 Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy! Q. Where do dinosaurs study? A. At Khaan Academy!... My ResearchGate profile
