Shark Tank

Bobby Rico

Recommended Posts

Hi all

Mrs Rico and I made this display tonight. It is made with a bell jar , upside down glass planter/bowl  and fairy lights.  I will add more lights to the base tomorrow. I think it looks cool with the shark’s head floating in the space of the bell jar. I do like the curio/macabre and scientific look.  I hope you all like it and thanks for looking.

Cheers Bobby

Thank you very much. I rescued the shark’s head years ago, I knew it would come in useful. The octopus is from The Shedd Aquarium in Chicago.

Thanks Tim it was inspired by @caldigger giving me the beautiful Meg and other shark  teeth . The bell jar I took out of the trash a couple of years ago and the glass bowl has been in our garden for years. So it is nice to be creative with what is at hand and  upcycle stuff .

I understand that Ron and I can echo that here with a quote from one of my favourite films  Jaws  “And, you know, the thing about a shark... he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes” Quint. I really am liking  the look of a Victorian curio cabinet.

The octopus is a lovely object indeed .

Just goes to show, even the little guys can have a nasty set of chompers.

You could put a bloody rubber finger in its mouth.

Yeah it has got a creepy sinister  look to it but that just makes it more fun. I did add a few more teeth to the display today too. Delightful indeed my friend.
