That was one of my pist, along with Oyster or burrow. I abandoned quickly the pist of rudists because i can't see the three column pattern on them.

How old are these? And from where? I guess they could be coprolites but I'd like a few more details to be fully convinced.

Can we have views of the wider ends?
Have they a spiraling or concentric character?

I think they are pretty strong candidates for coprolites. And that last photo looks like it might have a bony inclusion inside.

In one of the photos you showed one in the matrix. It looks like the material on that one is the same as the matrix. If that is the case, I would lean more toward burrow.

When i wet it the colour of the item is less clear and a little different than the rest of the rock.

To me, it's a visible outer rim in cross section of all of  specimens, which may lead me to think that they may be weathered borrows.

My examples below shows what I think, but it was recovered from Miocene sediments of Romania.

No, it's surely not a coral. I agree they are good candidates also for Burrows, if so i Wonder which kind of animal could have made them, but i well know this is something difficult to be sure of.

Thanks to all for your participation, that's a great forum with a lot of knowledge to learn.:1-SlapHands_zpsbb015b76:

has anyone proffered sponges as an ID? Your early pictures seem to show cyclic laminations. Am not sure I've seen a burrow like that. I have seen laminate coprolites but these don't look like that either.

That's what made me wondered what those could be, those laminate structures. And as you can see, there are "horizontal" striations and "vertical" ones.
