Bumpy red thing?

Found washed up shore of Lake Superior. It is hard like a rock and smooth but bumpy. Some type of fossil seed?

These pictures are too blurry to make out any detail or distinguishing characteristics. :(

It is always best to take pictures in good lighting, with the item down on a solid surface to keep movement out of the pictures.

Pictures of top, bottom, (from directly above looking straight down, not at an angle)  and sides.

Was hopeful maybe a second attempt with my Kindle would work, but, I will have to use a better image set up yet. :ank:

:dinothumb: I'll get those better images yet, no more kindle attempts.

Do you have a smart phone? The photo imagery on these things far out shines my digital cameras abilities.

Whatever gadget you use to photo it, you can't get a clear photo if the object is too close to the lens, unless you have a macro lens! Hold it back a little. (Good lighting, esp. sunlight, can't hurt either) ;)

Another trick is to set the camera to take large files and crop out the specimen using software on your computer.
