Fossil bone

Unfortunately, the blur obfuscates any details. :( 

I think this is a rock, however, and not a bone.

It's definitely bone and an end piece of one. Thanks for viewing and offering input though. I'm over excited to share things but still getting set up to offer better images.

Try to take some more focused pictures of the fossils. If we could see some the actual structure it could help also.

It's probably too close to the camera to allow it to focus. Try taking them outdoors in sunlight and holding it slightly further away.

Not snow, insulating material to protect against the snow. 

 

Thanks for the comparative bone images, I like looking at comparative anatomy.

 

Still having a hunt for my digital camera.

 

This site is great and seems to have a lot of experts. I look forward to future posts.
