marlinbytes
We found a variety of nice fossils on a recent visit to the cliffs on the St Mary River in Southern Alberta. For early January in Canada, it was like a summer day. It took me about 15 minutes to find a 100 pound concretion and another 20 to dig it out. Then a great deal of grunting and groaning to get it up the cliff on my back. It turned out to be a gem ball. More pixs of the gem when I clean it. We also found a nice placenteris meeki suture fossil, lots of gem, and one interclare. The pictures show the cliff, uncovering the fossil and a few other shots of finds. other pixs follow

Innocentx
Please don't put your back out on that 100 pounder. "Journey through a universe ablaze with changes" Phil Ochs
Wrangellian
A 100lb concretion on your back?? Waiting for the pics.... Weather is surprisingly warm even out here on the coast - finally the rains have let up, partly sunny and above average temps. But still I haven't managed to get out collecting... Ludwigia
@marlinbytes I'm curious to see what a gem ball is. I'm assuming it's ammolite, right? I also had to google interclare to discover that this is a male Placenticeras. You learn something new every day Greetings from the Lake of Constance.
