Hi!

I hunt the creeks in and around NJ for fossils pretty frequently, but found one today that I've not previously seen and can't find any matching pics online for either. I found it in Ramanessin Creek in Holmdel, NJ. I was thinking maybe a fish jaw/mouth bone, but not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

It is part of a hybodont shark  cephalic hook; or clasper. These were only from the male sharks.

Yep, it’s a partial Hybodont cephalic hook. Those aren’t too common.
