Yes, a rock, i'm afraid. 

You could always take it to your local museum if you need confirmation.

Perhaps a photo of the other side and a photo of the darker 'top' (in very good focus!) would change minds. 

I'm tending towards geologic but not convinced yet. Not a dino tooth, though.
