Florida Pleistocene Bone

Recommended Posts

Fossil-Collecter

I recently aquired these bones in a creek off the Peace River. I found it along with some other Pleistocene era things. Does anyone know what animal this belongs to or what type of bone it is? I can't find anything like it.

Rockwood

The word pelvis is as far as I get with it.

I did find mastodon bone fragments around it, so I was kinda thinking it was Mastodon related; I just don't know of any bone on a Mastodon that looks like this. It is similarly shaped like a pelvis as Rockwood said though.

Pelvis is a reasonable guess, but I don't think it's large enough to be from a mammoth.

The horse pelvis below is not a guess, just a generalized idea of a pelvis.
