Hi there,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me identify what this belongs too? Location is morocco which we all know can be risky, however it doesn't look like a typical fake to me. Not my expertise but would like to know an ID for it? Please see bottom image!

Typical Fake

Is it real? What does it belong too?

Thanks in advance :)

Mosasaur jaw.

The first one is a composite of real (but possibly partial) mosasaur teeth with fake matrix, fake or refurbished bone, and fake roots.

These are poor substitute for the real deal.

Second is a mosasaur jaw which looks  real.

PS. Welcome to the Forum. :)

A good way to test these is to examine the matrix for tiny bubbles. Also, if you poke it with something sharp fake matrix will be obviously softer than rock.
