Checking/removing painted elements

I just used Acetone to remove a penmark from my Mosasaur jaw.

It seems to have worked very well and makes it looks better.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Would the same process work for checking for any paint that might have been but on a Keichousaurus without damaging anything?
