Ok this is another idea very cheep and I think if you not got the metal fabrication skills or the money to order bespoke mounts. I do like this hook if is for garden tools many but it bend with ease and I think it works not too badly .

here are a couple of my handmade display stands:

first one was made for my crinoid calyx with steel wire and plastic plate:

I' still have to paint over the display as a finishing toutch.

I also made a few display stands out of bended steel plates for larger fossils:

This is a great design. It is almost a totally hidden stand but allows your specimen to be displayed in a very eye pleasing way. I’ll be copying this idea for some of my ammonites.

The majority of my stands are not handmade (acrylic and steel ), but I do display items on found objects at times to give them a more natural setting. Here are a few.

I really like the idea of your displays.  Your found objects do set your fossils off nicely. Great mammal collection.   :mammoth:

I dont know...the coloring on that stand looks a bit off. I think you should strip it and start over. ;)

About $0.50 to $0.60 in material a piece depending on how many pegs are used.

Now I just need to figure out how to make a template for consistency.

For that price I plan to make a bunch of them to use instead of plastic Geo's holders.

Plus the wood base gives it a more natural earthy feel. :dinothumb:
