Bigbadbo64
I found these in California by the Oregon border. I picked up a bunch of rocks to polish and noticed the vertebrae. They look like plioscene bird embryos. Is that correct?
Ludwigia
These look like rocks to me. I see no vertebrae or pliocene bird embryos. Can you please point out to us where you think that you see them. 2 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. Roger http://www.steinkern.de/
Fossildude19
Welcome to the Forum. Unfortunately, I must agree with Ludwigia, and these are not vertebrae, or fossils of anything, for that matter. These look like Metamorphic or igneous type rocks to me. @ynot 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM - APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." caldigger
The geology of that area is mainly uplifted basalt and volcanic rock. I see nothing in these rocks to indicate fossil. But if you stumble upon a large deposit of a brilliant yellow heavy metallic mineral in nugget form, please PM me with the location.

ynot
Not seeing anything I can identify as a fossil. Sorry, but most look like metamorphic rock. Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Ludwigia
@Bigbadbo64 If you don't want to believe us, then I'd suggest that you transport them in a wheelbarrow to your nearest museum and ask them for their opinion on them. 3 Greetings from the Lake of Constance. I don't see anything remotely resembling a fossil in these pictures. As already stated, you should take some of your finds to a local museum or university, and have them looked at by a paleontologist or geologist. LordTrilobite
I agree with the rest. There is nothing here that suggests these rocks contain fossils. Ordinary rocks. with some cool patterns here and there. Olof Moleman AKA Lord Trilobite

Aurelius
I'm afraid they are just rocks. But I'm sure someone here would be able to assist in finding fossils in your area, if you asked around.
