Is this thick bone old or new? What is it from?

Found this large bone in recycling bin.   I have no idea what it came from.  Approx 14"L  x  5.75" diameter at mid bone x 13"at ends.   I'd love your feedback.  Thx!

It looks like a modern bone to me, but to be sure you could always apply the "burn test": apply a small flame to one of the ends and if it gives off an unpleasant smell like burnt hair, it would likely be a modern bone.

It would be very odd if someone was throwing away fossil bones in a recycling bin... Who knew bones (old or new) were recyclable? :P

The last bit of evidence left of uncle Bert.

They'll never be able to pin it on me! :ninja:

That is unless somebody snoops around the recycling bin and starts asking questions!
