Most likely P. leiseyi imbricating bands, but possibly from an as of yet unidentified species:

Not the craziest thing to find, but it's a favorite in my collection. A croc osteoderm I found on my first adventure in the Brazos Pleistocene:

Can this be a ankylosaurus scute?

This is an old collection given to me by a friend. The only information I know is that it comes from New Mexico. sorry, no fm no county...

Its an osteoderm not a scute.  Did your friend provide you with a formation where it was found?  Are you sure its NM since Ankylosaurid material from there is quite scarce.  Ankylosaurus is known from the Hell Creek/Lance formations of Montana, Wyoming and the Dakotas.  Preservation matches those deposits.

 

If its indeed NM

I'm very grateful for your help. I asked my friend again, and he confirmed that this was a Nodosauridae from NM, but because the label was lost, the FM and county could not be known.
