Petrified Mushroom

This was found in SW Washington, Pacific County.  Looks like a petrified mushroom from reference books but have not come across this one in particular.

I have to agree with @JohnBrewer on this. Mother Nature can play some cruel tricks on us fossikers.

I totally agree with John, it's not a fossil mushroom, probably it might be a weathered limestone piece. :)
I have seen 30-60 thousand years old permineralized tree fungus (black in color) from European sites, but it doesn't looks like that.
