Megalodon tooth?

Could you get better pictures? Almost looks like there is a cusp attached.

Life started in the ocean. And so did my interest in fossils;).

Yes, it is a Megalodon tooth. I had to enlarge the image to be sure it was not cusped (suggesting Chubutensis), but it was a shadow.
Colored-up like some Calvert Fm. teeth are. Not like any west coast teeth I've seen.

Looks like a chub IMO. The wrinkle-like texture in the area everyone else is focusing on does still appear to show a vestigial cusplet to me.

Not sure on Cusp,  it's possible that it is pathological also
