sharkdoctor
Anyone seen the new paper on the possible causes of megalodon extinction? Haven't had a chance to read more than the abstract yet, but looks interesting: https://peerj.com/articles/6088/ @Gizmo
digit
Indeed it does look interesting. Thanks for the link. Downloaded it into my folder for free reading time. Cheers. -Ken
fossilsonwheels
Thanks for posting this. I am looking forward to reading it. The last theory I came across was the cooling of the ocean and resulting changes in whale diversity sent Megalodon to extinction. This should be an interesting read.
digit
That was my understanding as well. Looking forward to any new information/theories. Cheers. -Ken
digit
Couldn't wait and had to peek. What a nice surprise to see Robert (Bobby) @Boesse Boessenecker and Sarah Boessenecker listed among the authors! Now I just have to take a break from things and read this paper through. Cheers. -Ken
