Gen. et sp. indet.
A gastropod from the Lower Campanian of southern Poland. Any ideas on what group may it belong to, based on the ornamentation?
Tidgy's Dad
Looks like one of the members of family Trochidae to me. But others may know better than I. It's very nice whatever it may be. Life's Good! Tortoise Friend.
Zenmaster6
I agree with tidgy's dad. however removing it from the matrix would help out massively. However I don't want you to because its so beautiful and it could be damaged
caldigger
Perhaps not removing it but just exposing more of it on the block.
Gen. et sp. indet.
Thanks all! Trochidae was one of the possibilities I considered. As for the preparation, that one would be tricky, but I might try one day ;-)
abyssunder
Far away from me to criticize you , but almost all of your specimens are partially hidden in the holding groundmass. That gives a more substantial quantum of mistery to them, but if you go down under in a good prep, they will be more proper for a better ID.
