Where is it from? Do you know age of deposit? Can you put something ( ruler) in the shot to show size of critter?

More info would help us narrow it down but based on how common Green River fishes are from Wyoming I would guess that this is either a knightia or diplomystus. It looks like the negative side of one of the fish from the "Splitfish" layer.

It is small. Almost 3 inches. I thought about diplomystus, but not split like you said. A good perspective. The group of fossils that I got included bigger diplomystus, 5+ inches. But the shape of this threw me off.
