Pennsylvanian Cladodont Tooth

I knew it was going to snow today, so I thought that I would go out yesterday to a Pennsylvanian roadcut that has matrix from the Bond Formation exposed near Oglesby, Illinois. I did not spend much time there, put it was nice to be out. The area still has a lot of snow cover because it sits in the shade most of the day and there will even have more since we are getting 2-3”.

Besides some brachiopods that I found, I also found this Cladodont Tooth that was on the bottom of a piece that I picked up. Though not complete, I still like it. Thanks to @deutscheben and @Peat Burns for the ID.

It probably looks pretty nice from the other side, if you are comfortable with prepping it

I’m not and I will just let it be like this.
