Yoda
I recently purchased this nodule (about 5cm in length) with a Bothrodendron twig. There was also the cup shaped inclusion Any ideas? MotM August 2023 - Eclectic Collector

I do not see a convincing attachment or features that would be diagnostic enough in another way. You should wait for the real experts to weigh in though. It looks like it is on a different layer of the concretion. 1 Tim - VETERAN SHALE SPLITTER VFOTM --- APRIL - 2015 __________________________________________________ "In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks." abyssunder
Do you know where the nodule came from? Plantguy
Nice acquisition. That's Steve's old stomping grounds. @Terry Dactyll A sharper image might provide a clue...I saw it over on the sale site and the image there is clearer..I cant decide if its a fragment of a Lepidodendron stem with leaves or something else. The one half seems to have thin columnal/rectangular shaped fragments. Here are links in Steve's gallery for Lepidodendron and Asterophyllites. maybe you can compare to it.
