Tidgy's Dad 9,913 Report post Posted February 18 Colonial coral colony, I think. Something like Syringopora?
caldigger 6,239 Report post Posted February 18 Can you be a little more specific on the location? There a few parking lots around the world.
Ludwigia 4,342 Report post Posted February 18 I'll go for a weathered piece of colonial coral, but maybe a couple of sharp close-ups and an idea of the location would better help our judgement.
cthomp50 0 Report post Posted February 19 I'm in North Texas (Grapevine) , but the location could be from just about anywhere as this was literally found in the rocked median in a church parking lot. So gravel was trucked in from somewhere for landscaping purposes. I also found a good sized piece of petrified wood, so it was a mixed bag. In what formation would you typically find colonial coral of this type? I haven't found it in my area before...woodbine sandstone/eagle ford shale.
