amon81
I've found another interesting tooth from kem kem, Rugops Primus or Abelisauridae indet. Is the best classification? Thanks
The Amateur Paleontologist
The thing is, Rugops is known from the Cenomanian Echkar Formation (in Niger), so not the Kem Kem beds... It might be Abelisauridae, though we'd also need some closeups of the serrations/denticles -Christian 3 Opalised fossils are the best: a wonderful mix between paleontology and mineralogy! Q. Where do dinosaurs study? A. At Khaan Academy!... My ResearchGate profile
Troodon
Not Rugops for the reasons mentioned in above post. Distal curvature to extreme to be an abelisaurid. It's one of those morphologies from the Kem Kem that is unknown. "Theropod indet."
