I've got no clue

Good day everybody,

I've had a pretty hard time figuring out what it is I am looking it so I thought I'd ask around here. The specimens was found in Agua de Medeiros, Portugal and both pieces are about 6 cm wide.

The 2 fossils are not from the same creature/plant because I found them apart from eachother but they do seem to be from the same species. Both of them seem pretty weathered so its hard to get a good identifaction on them but I'm curious to see if any of you know anything about what it can be.

The curvature and knobby protrusions seem to make me think it is some type of ammonite. Let's see if @Ludwigia might have a more reasoned opinion.

Cheers.

ammonites, in my thinking
