Wolfeman Posted February 25, 2019 Share Posted February 25, 2019 Hi all. I found this washed up on the beach at high tide at Ocean Isle Beach in southern North Carolina this morning. Any help identifying what I found is most appreciated. I thought it might be petrified wood but the shape made me wonder if I’ve found a fossil of some type instead. It is porous. Roughly 1” x 3”.
