Fossils of Oregon

DPS Ammonite

Here is the best collection of papers about fossils in Oregon that have pictures of fossils, fossil locality maps, and great discussions about petrified wood including lots of micro photographs.

Fossils in Oregon: A Collection of Reprints From the Orebin. Bulletin 92. STATE OF OREGON DEPARTMENT OF GEOLOGY AND MINERAL INDUSTRIES. Margaret L. Steere, Editor. 1977.

DPS, sorry for the late reply but I just spotted this post.

another good article from the Ore Bin is "Jurrasic shallow marine invertebrate depth zones, with exemplification from the Snowshoe Formation, Oregon." (Oregon Geology, the Oregon Department of Geology and Mineral Industries.  Volume 44, Number 5.  May 1962.)

I am especially interested in ammonites and would appreciate hearing from others familiar with collecting in Oregon!
