I need help identifying the attached fossil. It is split into two pieces but can combine into one. It was acquired from a local estate sale so I do not know any details about it. Please help.

I think you have Vinctifer comptoni.

Late Jurassic (Kimmeridgian) to the Aptian stage of the Early Cretaceous epoch. But wait for others to confirm.

Vinctifer sp, probably from Brazil, I think.

I agree with Tidgy's Dad, looks like a Vinctifer sp. likely from the Santana formation of Brazil. There was a similar one up for auction on this website a while ago I believe.

They always seem to pop up in estate sales for whatever reason, either that or they're passed down from a collector in the family lol, just based on what I've seen on the forum.

It is my understanding that the export of this material is prohibited. Therefore it makes sense for it not to be commonly available and pieces that are available are legacy imports.

I'm not just talking about the Bazilian stuff. I have yet to see anything "Paleo" offered at any estate/garage sales I have ever been to.
