Species of ammonite?

Pterygotus

Could someone please ID the species of this ammonite? It was found at Lyme Regis. Also, could it be a rare species?

John is right, but in the second photo it looks like a concave shell impression, right? If that's the case, then there's nothing to prep out.

The nodule you've shown here are known to house the calcite ammonite Promicroceras sp. However more prep work is needed to assign it to a specific species. :)

Can you say which part of the Lyme coast it's from? It doesn't look like anything co-occurring with Promicroceras (Obtusum Zone). Does need prepping out more though, and a scale.
