Thanks Harry,I should have gone to your gallery in the first place.It looks like the enamal and (cementum?) have peeled off ,and i'me left with the core.

Possibly an odontocete; could be sperm whale (scaldicetus morphotype). Not from a delphinoid. Could also be carnivoran, still (especially given the v-shaped margin of the crown base).
