I have found plant fossils in three different spots but only the last spot I check had the most satisfying fossils.
I will share only a few that I found but I did find tons more.

Awesome! Happy for you! I know that feeling of frustration of searching and not finding. In your case from zero to possibly more than you can handle which is a great problem to have...not to mention you know a formation to keep your eyes peeled out for in the future when you visit different locales.

Congratulations!

Nice job! Looks like the main leaf in the 7th pic could be exposed a little more, maybe with nothing more than a needle.

Would love to have a plant site like those near me! Still haven't found an accessible one. :ank:

Lovely finds!

Every single fossil you see is a miracle set in stone, and should be treated as such.

Pay to dig site for a small fortune and only allowed to keep 3?

OR
Finding your own spot and keeping infinite :)

BTW I used to live in Savannah Georgia.
Most of Georgia is Coastal Sedimentary Rocks. There are great marine sediments though.
Use Macrostrat to find possible continental sedimentary rocks near you and then research the formation.
I did the same with Georgia but it seems that most of the state is Coastal Sediments
