How do I know if my fossils are rare or unique?

I am thinking about donating some of my fossils to a University or Museum but are they good enough that they would be interested.How do I find out?

Post pictures and information on them here and the experts will let You know what is what.

You could also directly contact the university or museum, and send them pictures to see if they would be interested in having them.

They needn't be of high scientific interest, either!
Museums with "Please Touch Tables" or other kid's programs love to get B-grade specimens. Anything below research- or display-grade would be gratefully accepted.

This is true.  Those who haven’t yet experienced the joy of finding this stuff may hold donations in hand with inspiration, wonder and reverence well beyond what you may experience after you’ve gotten over the buzz of finding your first 10 or 1000 similar pieces.  At this point I’ve probably donated gross tonnage commensurate with what I’ve retained.
