The rewards of being part of the process to further our fossil knowledge should always outweigh the pride of keeping an important fossil in our personal collection. Having a cast of the item gives you the best of both worlds--you can have your cake crab and donate it too. ;)

It's funny you crossed out cake because I actually celebrated with crab cakes so I guess I got the best of all those applicable worlds! :)
