MSirmon Posted March 18, 2019 Share Posted March 18, 2019 I think the first picture is collapsed Calamites and the second 2 are part of the offshoot of a calamites. Not sure about the spelling but know itwas a type of cat tail. These were found in Southeast Oklahoma near Wister Lake. The area is Pennsylvanian. Rockwood Posted March 18, 2019 Share Posted March 18, 2019 The first one might not look like what comes up in an image search for calamites. The most common fossils of these are pith casts. This is an external mold. The nodes and ridges of conductive tissue are not as pronounced on the outside.
