Hello All

I prepped this fossil today. First decent prep job so I am extremely happy I could do this.

The fossil is from the Kem Kem beds and is nearly completely hollow. Before I prepped it it didn't look this hollow, so I tough it would be a vertebra. Now I think it's a skull part. I have no idea from what or from what part this is. What do you all think? It's not that big, about 10 cm.

@LordTrilobite, @Troodon, @Haravex

Thanks already for your help.

Greetings.

Could be part of a skull or possibly something different. But it doesn't look like any of it is from the outside of the bone. But with big holes like that I'd say Sauropod could be a possibility. But I don't see how you can narrow it down from such a fragmentary piece.

Agree looks like a skull element but nothing diagnostic to say much more.  LooksInteresting specimen.  Looks like the prep went extremely well, its a super cleanup congrat.  .

Thanks to both of you. I already tought it was a skull element that couldn't be ID further, but thanks a lot for confirming.

Today I prepped these two pieces after school.

First: Skull element? Fish? Amphibian? I have no idea. The piece is 7 cm long and has a lot of hollow 'tubes' going through it.

Next: Spinosaurus partial 'sail'? The piece is about 20 cm long and the preservation isn't everywhere as good. Too bad the glue they use in Morocco is so strong I can't get it away with simple hand tools.

This is a picture of how it looked like halfway the preparation.

The top one reminds me of fish.  Guess Gar.

The second one might be a neural spine.  Difficult to tell on the photos but are both sides fairly flat with a slight taper from bottom to top.

Again nice prep work.

I agree with the top one. Looks like part of a fish skull.

The second long thin one, I don't think it's a neural spine due to that curve. Dunno what it is though.

That last one looks like a partial turtle scute and there was some massive turtles from this formation.
