Possible crinoid?

This was another interesting thing I found as a kid in my backyard. There are a few of these on the rock. And theyre definitely not bolts. It is not threading. They are layered rings.

Its a bit thicker than your average pencil. Too dark out now to measure. I will put a ruler to it tomorrow.

I agree with the crinoid pluricolumnal possibility.

I actually managed to pop one off the bottom side of the rock.

That crinoid stem looks very much like ones I've seen from Upper Silurian/Lower Devonian limestones exposed just north of Rosendale, N.Y. If they were found near Newburgh my guess is they were deposited there by a glacier. A lot of interesting glacial material found in the Newburgh area.
