As always, I will try to take some pics so other FFM can come along, at least visually. Yes, you are lucky! and please do.
Rob Russell
Great report Ralph! My guys lost a day earlier this week due to the weather, so they worked yesterday. I will be out there today to shake some hands, and pay my dues. Looking forward to seeing everybody, again. My last three years have pulled me away from collecting down at Mazon. However, this year I’m coming back with a brand new plan. My boat! 1 Finding my way through life; one fossil at a time.

Praefectus
I got to the fairgrounds right as the show was starting. Here is a picture of everyone waiting to be let in.
Praefectus
Most of the fossils this year were from the Mazon Creek area.

The first one that I purchased, I took both copies. The reason is that it contains an article (1971) by a person named Richard Patterson, he was a friend of my Fossil Mentor and he gave him two slabs of those trackways from Ohio and they are now in my collection. I already had 2 of the pamphlets, but at 25 cents each, I could not pass it up. I had to get this next one due to the price of dinosaur verts back in 1948- Sorry they are not oriented correctly. If you have a chance and you are in the Chicagoland area tomorrow, stop by and check it out. Funny stuff! I bought the case with the Mazon fauna (it was $3 because of the cracked glass!), several of the large minerals (they were also ~$3 each too!), and I bought the smaller micro fossil case! stats
On Sunday, we sold one of the best Tullymonsters we've had in a few years. It looks complete from claw to tail, just needs some careful cleaning. Cheers, Rich
