Kaiju Slayer333
Sorry for the meh camera quality, but I found this I guess what I can safety call "rock" in the Dominican Republic a couple of months ago and I just wanna figure out if it actually is a fossil of some type. Someone I knew said it could be a coprolite but I don't know for sure. Just so you guys know, I actually was on this forum before. It's just I forgot the name and had to make a new account because it had been months lol
ynot
Can We see pictures of the back and sides? Also how big is it? Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My Fossil collection - My Mineral collection My favorite thread on TFF.

Here's some images of the back and the sides. Also a ruler for measuring. When measured longways, it's around 1 1/2 inch long.
emmag15
My first guess would be an ichnofossil. Potentially burrows, but it seems too linear for that. Wait for other opinions, someone will know
ynot
I doubt it is a fossil. It looks like a piece of pottery, possibly archaic (pre Columbus). PS Welcome to TFF! 1 Darwin said: " Man sprang from monkeys." Will Rogers said: " Some of them didn't spring far enough." My Fossil collection - My Mineral collection My favorite thread on TFF. PS Welcome to TFF! Thank you and if it is a piece of pre Columbian pottery. That's still pretty cool. Let's just see if anyone else wants to say something also, PS I found my old account's name so I may just head back to that one after this xd Edited March 24, 2019 by Kaiju Slayer333
